jUStin!katKO's Plantarchy reached my mailbox this morning. It looks pretty hot, from the Blast-like puce cover to the great content inside. Check out the website: www.plantarchy.us for more information.
I'm excited about Plantarchy too, just got it today. Great book-making, clear-headed editorial direction, a place for the kids to sparkle and shine and be whatever. I like the essay and the prose pieces, the way things fit to the page, the book in the hand, looking forward to reading more!
Chiming in with Eric, I think it's a bit of a shame that the structure of a blog buries threads over time, makes the conversations tend toward the disposable. I wonder how difficult it would be to set up a blog such that threads are ordered by which has the most recently posted comment. It would save conversations from oblivion. It would be a whole new blogosphere, a whole new world.

yo, did you know Jeffrey Burghauser was an editorial consultant to house press?! word up, jeff!
I don't want to drop a bomb or anything, but I hear Burghauser's got a surprise in the works.
A big surprise.
Comments seem to hit some posts "late." Mine often do. I'm afraid they get buried.
The vertical time-line layout makes sense for a typical blog, but here.
Someone might read Drill today and want to comment.
Any way to have a more newspaper-like layout?
looks yummy...

What do you mean by newspaper-like layout?
I mean all active threads would be on a front page, layed out like a newspaper, with the most active thread as the headline . . . .
Exactly like a newspaper.
maybe a few more "stories" than a typical front page.
